Palimpsest traces the history of Lechlade-on-Thames from its earliest beginnings to the present day.

This intriguing market town, its trade and commerce, its buildings and people are placed into the broad context of British history and major local events.

From a prehistoric hand axe, through Bronze Age burials, medieval priories and Victorian canals to a thriving music festival, Palimpsest weaves a tapestry of exploits, follies, accidents and achievements that have culminated in Lechlade as we know it today.

All profits after publication costs will go to The Lechlade History Society.
